"Color Notes: A Hands-On Guide to Color and Paint for Painters."
After over twenty years of independent research, studio application and teaching the visual and physical properties of oil paint and color, I have written a 132-page self-published book entitled "Color Notes: A Hands-On Guide to Color and Paint for Painters." This book is packed with information that will clarify many of the questions that surround oil paint and color in painting. Chapter One contains short histories of pigments and dyes, the development of the Color Index and ASTM, and modern paint manufacture and marketing. Chapter Two includes the color properties of pigments including Hue, Color Temperature, Value, Intensity and other color attributes. Chapter Three covers color mixing and Chapter Four presents a new way of looking at color theory. In its’ first edition, this book is a must-have for serious oil painters.
